| EDUCATION |
An educated mind is a librated mind. The following achievements are recorded under this administration in the educational sector.
(i) Distribution of Education materials like biro, textbooks, exercise books and dictionaries to the students in Primary and Secondary Schools within the Local Government area.
(ii) Payment of Bursary Award to students of Ola-Oluwa Local Government in Institutions of Higher Learning throughout the country in years 2003 and 2004.
- Recruitment of Parent Teacher Association (PTA) teachers to complement teachers’ efforts in the schools and regular payment of monthly stipends to them.
- Construction of a block 3 classrooms at twelve locations namely, Elepo, Igege,Obamoro, Ilemowu, Baptist Day School Ikire-Ile, Community Grammar School, Ogbaagba, D.C Idi-Iroko, D.C Fagbaibi, Odo-Oran, Bode-Osi, Methodist Primary School Asa and Ile-Ogo.
- Construction of a block of 2 classrooms as constituency project of Honourable Councilors at Ajagunlase in 2005.
- On-going construction of another set of a block of 3 classrooms in each of the under listed schools:
D.C School, Ogbaagba, St. John Pry Sch, Ikire-ile, C.A.C Ikonifin, Methodist Primary School, Isero, Comprehensive Grammar School, Telemu, Iwara, Elepo, Ogunja and Iwo-Oke.
Construction of a block of 2 classrooms as constituency project of Honourable Councilors is equally in progress at Telemu, Asamu, Ogbaagba, I & II, Amere, Ile-Ogo, Isero, Bode-Osi, Iwo-Oke and Idiya.
Deployment of Youth Corpers to Secondary Schools to complement efforts of the teaching staff.

| WORKS |
The following infrastructures have been put in place.
(i) Rural Electrification at Olowe Community.
(ii) Purchase of Transformer to Ogbaagba Town.
(iii) Construction of Lock-up Stalls at Telemu.
(iv) Construction of bore-hole at Ikire-Ile, Iwara, Ajagba, Ogbaagba, Obamoro, and Bowen University Iwo.
(v) Construction of bore-hole as constituency projects of Honourable Councilors at Ajagba, Ogbaagba, I & II, Telemu, Asamu, Ikonifin, Aba Ikolaba and Amere.
(vi) Opening of Rural feeder road from Asamu-Ogbaagba and Ikire-Ile, Isero-Obamoro.
(vii) Regular grading of various roads within Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area.
(viii) Construction of more than 1,170 metres lined drain at various locations within the Local Government. |
| PRIMARY HEALTH CARE |
Since health is wealth, this administration has improved the health services within the Local Government Area.
Our achievements in this sector include: -
Regular purchase of drugs and dressing to all the health centres and post in the Local Government Area.
Distribution of Hospital materials/equipments to the newly-established Health centres.
Distribution of free eye glasses to the people of Ola-Oluwa Local Government.
Construction of Health Facilities at Idi-Irioko, Papa, Olupo-Molaye, Aloro, Yangamu, Alaro, Tootoo/Igege.
Completion of the Health Facility at Asamu.
Re-training of personnel in the department through Workshops and Seminars.
Active involvement in the National Immunization Programme.
(viii) Purchase of sanitary disinfectants and chlorine lime for treatment of deep wells in the Local Government Area.
Purchase of Ambulance in conjunction with Osun State Government.

| WOMEN DEVELOPMENT |
| To the glory of God, the following have been achieved
Mass deworming of pupils in all the primary schools.
Installation of palm oil and cracker processing machines at Maaro Village, Telemu, Ikire-Ile, Ogbaagba, and Ile-Ogo.
Distribution of wheel chairs and crutches to the physically challenged people in the Local Government Area.
Organization of picnic for children during religious festivals like Christmas and Ileya. |
| SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. |
| Distribution of Local Government grants to the community self-help projects in year 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Resuscitation of Ola-Oluwa Babes, a formidable football club in the National Division II League.
Sponsorship of programmes on OSBC TV, Radio and NTA Osogbo during festivals period such as Ileya, Ramadan, Easter and Christmas.
Participation in the Odua Joint Trade Fair in 2003 at Ondo State, 2004 at Ekiti and 2005 at Osun State.
Regular payment of monthly allowances/stipends to corps members and sponsorship of community projects executed by corpers.
Sponsorship of Vocational training for unemployed Youth.
Sponsorship of Citizenship and Leadership training courses for Community Development Council members within the Local Government.
Sponsorship of pilgrims to the Holy land of Mecca and Jerusalem yearly (45 pilgrims to Mecca and 42 pilgrims to Jerusalem as at 2005).
Payment of monthly stipends to students on Industrial attachment Scheme. |
| GENERAL ADMINISTRATION |
| Distribution of 20 Motorcycles as micro soft loan to the Youth of Ola-Oluwa Local Government.
Purchase of new Peugeot 504 Car for the use of chairman and 18-seater bus (Mazda) for the use of Legislative Council.
Inauguration of various committees and payment of monthly honorarium to members.
Engagement of over 300 people under poverty alleviation scheme and payment of monthly allowances to them.
Employment of 50 youths as permanent workers
Regular payment of staff salaries leaves bonus, seminars and workshops allowances, financial assistance to officers to undergo in-service training at a various institution.
Sponsorship of various seminars and workshops for different categories of people within the Local Government Area. |
